British Airways Future Pilot

I don’t normally post links on here, but if you’re reading this blog and you’re interested in becoming a pilot some day then this is an absolutely unmissable opportunity from British Airways that has just opened up:

BA Future

More details and how to apply can be found at http://www.bafuturepilot.com/.

  1. Hi, I am from Australia. I have not yet completed school but I want to become a pilot. I have looked at Oxford Aviation Academy and this British Airways Cadet Programme. I have read your blogs and you seem like you have gone a long way. I just wanted to ask how did you find your whole training experience and do you recommend Oxford and the British Airways path?
    thanks :),

  2. Hi Will

Thanks for reading the blog, hope you find it useful and it gives you some idea of how fun and challenging the training experience will be. If you meet the entry requirements on the BA website then I would certainly recommend it, you'll probably never get a better opportunity than this and it would be great to go in to training knowing you already have a job lined up at the end. Just make sure that you have the right to live and work in the UK as I know this is one of the requirements. If you don't meet the entry requirements then have a look at some of the other airline schemes on the Oxford website.

As far as choosing a flying school goes, I would take time to have a look around a few and see where you like best. However, from my own experience I couldn't recommend Oxford enough, they have fantastic customer service, brilliant instructors and are one of the most respected flying schools in the business. Plus we had such a great time, especially out in Arizona, I would love to do it all again just for that!

    Best of luck mate
